What’s it all about? And why would anyone want to read it? Well, let me try to explain without losing your interest too quickly. Basically, it’s all about me. Shameless self-promotion: of my writing, of my novels: Where Are the Cocoa Puffs? and Reis's Pieces, of my amazing ability to come up with clever captions on photos of my travels . . . And also, a blatant representation of my stupidity when it comes to spelling, editing, and computer-type stuff.
My debut novel: Where are the Cocoa Puffs?: A Family's Journey Through Bipolar Disorder was released in September of 2010. My second novel: Reis's Pieces: Love, Loss, and Schizophrenia, was released May, 2012!
I am an optometrist in Central New York, living with my husband of 23 years. We have two girls who are, theoretically and chronologically, grownup. (Just kidding -- they are very mature! But, really, could you please just pick up your dirty socks!)
I have written four novels. Two, I wrote twelve years ago, and they have been simply gathering cyber-dust. Back then, I never really dove into the whole publication thing, because I did not have the fortitude or thickness of skin for the necessary rejection, and I felt ashamed by my audacity that I could call myself a writer.
Writing is wonderful and horrible and scary and self absorbing and the most fun anyone can have. So . . . twelve years later, my skin is thicker and shame is for sissies. I’ve picked up my computer and started again. My third book, Where are the Cocoa Puffs?, was just released by Goodman Beck Publishing and will be available on all online sites and soon to be nationally released. I've also blown off the dust of my first novel, done a major re-write -- and you know what? It's pretty darn good! Expect it to be in print some day.
